The formation

Formation
The formation of the Sons of Saint Anne has as its priority the integration of all its dimensions: human and community, intellectual and doctrinal, charismatic and spiritual, apostolic and missionary, in such a way that in its two phases, initial and permanent, it has the primary aim of immersing ourselves in the experience of God and helping them to progressively perfect it in their own lives.

Aspirancy
The community experience of the Aspirancy aims to encourage mutual knowledge between young men and between them and the religious family, helping them to deepen their Christian identity and their specific vocation in the Church, so that they can freely and responsibly discern their vocation as Sons of Saint Anne and verify their real conditions for entry into the pre-novitiate.

Pre-novitiate
The pre-novitiate is the first real stage of a systematic formative itinerary, in which the candidate is helped to experience the progressive detachment from the environment of origin and to clarify the reasons for the vocational choice through human, Christian and charismatic formation. It is gradually introduced into our family and prayerful lifestyle and prepares it for the transition to the novitiate.

Novitiate
This stage, “the heart of the formation of the Son of Saint Anne”, helps the novice to gradually begin his option of identification with Christ in the mystery of his Poverty in consecrated life, through an intense life of prayer and fraternity, in the practice of the evangelical councils, according to the lifestyle of the Institute of the Sons of Saint Anne.
Furthermore, it favors the novice the possibility of knowing and identifying with the charismatic heritage of the Religious Family, offering himself as a gift to the service of the Kingdom. At the end of the novitiate, the novice professes the Vows of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience according to the Constitutions of the Institute, consecrating his life to the Lord.

Juniorate
The Juniorate is the period in which the professed Son of Saint Anne lives and consolidates his belonginness to the Institute which, in a climate of prayer and service, allows him the learning and the necessary experience to consolidate over time and gradually his sense of belonging until he matures towards definitive consecration.
The total duration of this period of temporary promises must not be less than three years, nor more than six. At the end of the time for which the profession was made, it is necessary for the religious to spontaneously ask to renew his vows. And at the end of the juniorate, the young professed prepares to make his perpetual profession.

Preparation for Priestly Ministry
The period that begins with the first vows also signals a stance regarding the possibility of accessing the ministerial priesthood. In this period, philosophical-theological knowledge is deepened. This is conceived as a precious gift that must be safeguarded with due formation according to the criteria of the Church, in its magisterium, and of our spiritual heritage.
For the religious oriented towards the ordained ministry, when theological studies begin, this phase also includes the reception of the ministries of Lectorate and Acolyte. The specific training includes biblical, theological and charismatic preparation and the possibility of pastorally exercising the ministries of the Lector and the Acolyte.
